Wash Day in the Garden is a whimsical 3-inch ceramic wall hanging featuring a quiet old-fashioned cottage scene with a girl at a galvanized wash tub and a sweet little lamb nearby. Created for lovers of cottagecore decor, vintage country art, farmhouse-inspired wall decor, pastoral scenes, and cozy cottage style, this piece brings a gentle touch of slower living into your home.

There’s something comforting about the rhythm of simple chores done outdoors—the sound of water, fresh air, worn metal tubs, and animals wandering close by.

Wash Day in the Garden was inspired by old country homes, sunny wash days, cottage gardens, and the kind of everyday moments that feel peaceful enough to belong in another time.

Small enough to tuck into unexpected places but detailed enough to stand beautifully on its own, this ceramic hanging can be displayed in so many ways:

Hang it as small ceramic wall art
Add it to a cottagecore or farmhouse gallery wall
Display it in a laundry room, kitchen, mudroom, or sunroom
Hang it in a sunny window from a suction-cup hook
Nestle it into the center of a rustic or floral wreath
Hang it from a cabinet knob, shelf hook, or decorative wall hook
Gift it to someone who loves vintage country decor, lambs, or cozy cottage style

Each piece measures approximately 3 inches across and is made from smooth ceramic with a small hanging hole at the top.

Made here at Folkcraft Cottage

Each ceramic piece is designed, prepared, and individually sublimation-printed by me in my home studio for Folkcraft Cottage.

These pieces are created in small batches rather than purchased as finished mass-produced decor, so every one receives hands-on attention before it leaves the cottage.

Because each ceramic hanging is individually printed, tiny variations in placement or finish may occur. Those subtle differences are part of the charm of small-batch handmade production.

Whether she hangs in a cozy laundry room, beside a collection of vintage finds, tucked into a farmhouse gallery wall, or somewhere that could use a little old-fashioned charm, I hope Wash Day in the Garden feels like a tiny piece of the Folkcraft Cottage world.
